The Drake House

The Drake House offers emergency residence, support, assistance, and empowerment to women and children in North Fulton County. It was established to keep families in tact, and provide them with the resources they need to return to self-sufficient housing.
Requirements to get into the Drake House are:
- Be referred by an agency, service, school, religious organization
- Be a single mother with minor children (children must attend school if school-aged)
- Be homeless
- Be employed or employable
- Be drug and alcohol free
- Have ties to North Fulton
- Sign a contract and agree to participate in program services
Families entering The Drake House sign a 30-day contract, with two additional 30-day extensions if the family abides by the contract directives. The maximum stay for a family is 90 days. Housing is free but there is a mandatory savings program for working mothers along with an established budget.
Our High School Youth Group with Thrivent assistance purchased gift cards for families in June and our church made 5 quarts of ice cream for Miss Mary's Ice Cream Social fundraiser in August.
The Drake House is located on 10500 Clara Drive about 2.6 miles from our church just two blocks southwest of the corner of Alpharetta Highway and Holcomb Bridge Road.
